Производство пластиковых окон с тех времен претерпело кардинальные изменения. В былые времена производители покрывали металлические рамы слоем пластика (поливинилхлорида). Такие конструкции не могли на равных конкурировать с деревянными окнами. 

Сегодня изготовление пластиковых окон - механизированный процесс, с четко отлаженными технологиями. Изготовление современных окон из пластика начинается с компьютерного моделирования конструкции окна, расчета расходных материалов на производство изделия и подсчета накладных расходов фирмы-производителя.

Процесс изготовления стеклопакетов для металлопластиковых окон включает в себя разметку и порезку стекла, обеспечение герметичности стеклопакета и склеивание его. В ходе работы возможно изготовление как однокамерных, так и многокамерных стеклопакетов.
