Nowadays russian propaganda has become more prominent than it used to be 5 years - or more - ago. So, what can we observe now it is a constant brainwash that happens to every citizen of Russia. Not only they use TV and newspapers as propaganda tools, the russian government also tries to "feed" children with their lies - it can be seen all around the country like cartoons and kid's books that tell young people and babies how Russia is strong, has its own goods and food and that it is a miracle to live there.
Also, in the light of current events such as waging war against Ukraine, Russia has decided to show its superiority over ukrainians and partly other slavic nations. Because now some of the russian authorities and "scientists" who have dubious TV programs tell that the russian language is the only right language of slavic people, they also state that ukrainian language is just a "dialect".
And if one decides to visit Moscow, he will witness dozens of people wearing T-shirts with Putin's face on them, or USSR slogans that had been changed a bit to make them more modern.
So what Russia is doing right now is making obedient puppets that will love their leader Putin and do whatever the government wishes them to. In Soviet times there was a huge propaganda work that brainwashed the current grandfathers and grandmothers, who in their turn brainwashed their kids, maybe unintentially because they believed in their state. And now it happens all over again, the government tells nonsensical lies, but there is a little difference - it has some foundation from the past. Like the majority of old people there say that they had a better life under the Soviet government.
